The Faculty of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences (FLAHS) Open Day

The Faculty of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences (FLAHS) held its Open Day for Fall 2021 on 14^th July, 2021 at 3:00pm PKT. The event focused on the aim and mission of FLAHS thoroughly discussed in the Welcome Address by the Dean FLAHS, Dr. Fauzia Shamim followed by presentations from different colleges and departments situated within the faculty. Dr. Shamim presented the scope and modern-day necessity of the programs under the College of Languages, Literature and Culture, Ms. Rana Hussain discussed in detail the scope and career prospects of the College of Education followed by Ms. Tehmina Lodhi who walked the audience through the programs offered by the College of Media Sciences. The Faculty also launched two new programs for this semester; BS in Clinical Psychology and BS in Public Health. Ms. Mariam Kamran represented the Department of Clinical Psychology while Dr. Shamim took to discussing the aim and scope of the program of Public Health. Later in the event, students from different colleges shared their experience of studying at their respective colleges. The event also featured a live Q/A session moderated by Dr. Kiran Hashmi. Aspiring students from different educational backgrounds posted their queries and concerns which were addressed by the faculty.
